Khatabot - Expense Tracker ("the App") is developed by Aman Gupta. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.

Data Collection & Usage

The App reads your SMS messages solely to identify bank transaction notifications (messages containing "Spent" or "Debited") and extract expense amounts. This is the core functionality of the App.

Data Storage

• All extracted expense data is stored locally on your device only, in a private database.
• No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
• No analytics, tracking, or telemetry data is collected.

Permissions Used

• READ_SMS — To scan your inbox for bank transaction messages.
• RECEIVE_SMS — To automatically detect new bank transaction SMS in real-time.

These permissions are essential for the App's core expense tracking functionality. The App does not read, store, or process any SMS content other than identified bank transaction messages.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any of your data to third parties. All data remains on your device.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual expense entries within the App by long-pressing on them. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
